the beginning.

so for the third time in my career, i’ve been laid off.

the first time around, Large Corporate Entity outsourced our entire team to India.  second time, business in the Atlanta office dried up.  they eventually shut down the entire office.

this time, it was a surprise to the 15 or so of us who got the axe.  i think the company line was they didn’t reach their numbers for this quarter.  sorta short-sighted if you ask me seeing as how the people they axed were the ones the actively sought out to help them make money. but whatever.  shit happens and there’s no point in moving backward.  only forward.

so while i’m calling, emailing, answering calls and scrambling together to get samples together, i’m going to use this “free” time to do a few things that when i had responsibilitiy, i never got around to doing.

1. My Closet - I cleaned it out during the great purge of 2008 this spring.  it has since become the bane of my existence.  again.  so, cleaning the closet.
2. incognegro.com - my oft neglected baby that’s in need of a facelift and some new content.  so yeah.  incognegro will get some quality time.
3. this ‘blog’ - since incognegro will be undergoing a facelift, i’ll be updating this thing from time to time. hopefully.

i have been known to be lazy.

so fear not fellow incognegroians ^(tm).  i shall rise again.

or just take a nap.
